Dokken, Warrent and Trixter - A triple headliner concert! Three warriors of 80s metal and glam metal gather for one night on the Tobin Center stage for a concert to remember.
At a time when the charts were ruled by pop-metal acts, Dokken was a major attraction throughout the 1980s with vocalist Don Dokken's captivating stage presence and the band's high-energy style. Dokken has sold over 10 million albums world wide, a number of which were best-selling albums including Tooth and Nail, which featured the hit songs "Into the Fire," "Just Got Lucky," and "Alone Again," Under Lock and Key, which had success due to the hits "In My Dreams" and "It's Not Love" and Back for the Attack, which featured a track they had written as the subtitle for the third Nightmare on Elm Street film, "Dream Warriors."
With worldwide album sales approaching the ten million mark [Warrant (USA)] , and a laundry list of Top 40 radio singles that includes "Cherry Pie," "Heaven," "DownBoys," "Uncle Tom's Cabin" and "Sometimes She Cries," Warrant may be out of mind to radio programmers flocking to cash in on their modern rock flavors of the month, but they aren't out of sight of their fans. Whether you call it nostalgia, hair rock, a flashback, or just plain rock 'n' roll, it's striving, and Warrant are proud to be at the head of the pack. "I think this music has finally gotten old enough to be cool again Just like bellbottoms," say Warrant's Jerry Dixon with a laugh. "Everyone finally stopped laughing and said, 'Actually, that's kind of cool.' We took a lot of punches over the years, but I'm glad we stuck it out and lasted. Our approach to music is to just have a good time, and especially with everything that's going on in the world, people don't want to be bummed out anymore. We know the problems are there just like everyone else does, but when we're onstage, Warrant's about having a good time."
Trixter has been rocking crowds for decades with thier party hits like "Give it to Me Good," "Line of Fire" and "One in a Million". Opening for heavy acts like STRYPER, THE SCORPIONS. and DOKKEN the band still loves that thier shows are not a concert but have oftern been compared to a 'giant keg party!'. In the summer of 2015, Trixter released their latest album Human Era featuring the rock party hits "Rockin' to the Edge of Night" and "Crash that Party."
