The Tobin Center for the Performing Arts is pleased to announce its 4th Annual Benefit Concert featuring STEVEN TYLER! Together with The Loving Mary Band, Steven Tyler will play all your favorite Aerosmith and solo songs in this unforgettable evening. Continuing with the tradition of booking an arena-level artist into its intimate 1700 seat H-E-B Performance Hall, the Tobin Center provides an once-in-a-lifetime entertainment experience rarely offered. All proceeds benefit the Tobin Center’s Generation NEXT Education Initiative with the mission to inspire, enrich, and educate by providing world-class arts experiences for all.
Fans attending the 2017 Benefit Concert can expect to hear Tyler serve up his greatest Aerosmith hits and also new hits off the country inspired album, “We’re All Somebody From Somewhere.”
Tyler’s highly anticipated country solo album, “We’re All Somebody From Somewhere,” debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart and No. 1 on the iTunes Top Country Albums charts in both the U.S. and Canada to rave reviews. The Boston Globe noted, “Tyler didn’t just parachute into Nashville for a visit, but walked around and breathed the air,” and the Associated Press proclaimed, “Steven Tyler’s country album shines.”
ABOUT THE ANNUAL TOBIN BENEFIT CONCERT:
Since opening in September 2014, the Tobin Center has annually been host to some of the world’s most legendary artists whose special appearance supports the center’s non-profit mission. These concerts present unexpectedly big name artists in the intimate setting of the 1,738 seat H-E-B Performance Hall, typically representing the smallest venue on their tours. In 2014, fans welcomed Paul McCartney back to San Antonio, for the first time since the opening of the Alamodome in 1993. In 2015, Lionel Richie delighted patrons with his “All the Hits” tour, and declared that he would “tell his friends” about San Antonio’s Tobin Center. In 2016, the legendary Dolly Parton graced us with her “Pure and Simple” tour, which captured the hearts of all in attendance. We will continue this tradition in 2017 with the Demon of Screamin', Steven Tyler at our 4th Annual Benefit Concert. All proceeds benefit the Tobin Center’s Generation NEXT Education Initiative with the mission to inspire, enrich, and educate by providing world-class arts experiences for all.
This event is generously sponsored by the Will Smith Foundation, the Tobin Endowment, Alice and Sergio Viroslav, H-E-B and MUY
