Patio Andaluz 2018 Reunion
About The Show
2018 marks the resurgence of a recent San Antonio tradition focused on the Mexican-American baby boomers by presenting the Patio Andaluz 2018 Reunion. Now celebrating its 3rd show at the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts, this showcase has become the most anticipated event for its star-studded talents and story-telling host Henry “Pepsi” Peña.
Patio Andaluz was a weekend gathering spot, from the late 50’s to the mid 70’s, for San Antonio's oldest teenagers. This was the center of the universe because it was where they made new friends, danced to the latest craze and listened to popular bands like: Sunny and the Sunliners, The Royal Jesters, Barbara Lynn… just to name a few. Today, the corner of South Colorado and West Commerce, the original spot, is no longer there but the spirit of those youthful nostalgic nights still linger.
This year’s showcase is set with an array of fabulous 50’s, 60’s and 70’s original performers from international fame to San Antonio homegrown favorites. This annual cultural event, set at the Tobin Center, draws a crowd of local and destination baby boomers to relive the memories of the original Patio Andaluz. Youthful hearts come ready with a special feeling of celebration, inspiration and dreams come true.
San Antonio’s own celebrity Radio and TV personality, Henry “Pepsi” Peña, will be on hand to serve as host and executive producer of this homegrown tradition.
