About The Show
The Neil deGrasse Tyson event originally scheduled for December 5, 2019, and later rescheduled for June 15, 2020, has been rescheduled once again to January 19, 2022, at 8 PM.
As a current ticketholder to any of the previous dates for Neil deGrasse Tyson, you have several options:
- Hold on to your originally issued tickets for admission to the show on the new rescheduled date. With this option, there is nothing more to do. We will see you at the show on January 19, 2022!
- Donate the purchased ticket(s) price to GenerationNEXT, the Tobin's educational initiative that brings arts to people of all ages in the San Antonio community.
- Request the purchased ticket(s) price be placed in a gift voucher, to be used for future shows at The Tobin Center.
- Request a refund of the purchased ticket(s) price by Monday, Monday, March 1, 2021.
If you will be donating your ticket cost, placing your ticket cost on a voucher, or requesting a refund, please contact the Box Office at [email protected] by Monday, March 1, 2021, to complete your request. Requests for refund after this date will not be honored.

Neil deGrasse Tyson is an American astrophysicist, author, and science communicator. Since 1996, he has been the Frederick P. Rose Director of the Hayden Planetarium at the Rose Center for Earth and Space in New York City. The center is part of the American Museum of Natural History, where Tyson founded the Department of Astrophysics in 1997 and has been a research associate in the department since 2003.
Join us before the show, when the Scobee Education Center presents STEAM activities for families! Starting at 6:30 pm in the Feik Family Rotunda, we will look at activities for astronomy and the solar system.
