The Tobin Center for the Performing Arts is compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act. We have a variety of resources available to make your visit more enjoyable. ASSISTED LISTENING DEVICES
Assisted Listening Devices are available at Patron Services as you enter for an H-E-B Performance Hall event to the right. There is no charge for the device, but an ID is required to be held at Patron Services until the device is returned.
There are two Frost Bank ATMs on either side of the McCombs Grand Lobby for patrons attending shows in the H-E-B Performance Hall. An additional ATM for performances in the Carlos Alvarez Studio Theater or on the Will Naylor Smith River Walk Plaza is available in the lower lobby of the Frost Bank Studio Theater Lobby.
Small bags (no larger than 12” x 12” x12”) and purses are permitted. Backpacks are prohibited. An exception will be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection. All bags are subject to search.
CAMERAS & PHOTOGRAPHY
No professional cameras (cameras with detachable lens) will be permitted at The Tobin Center without prior written permission. Please note: many shows do not allow photography. Please be respectful of this policy for the artists and fellow patrons.

The lobbies for the H-E-B Performance Hall and Carlos Alvarez Studio Theater, and the entrance to the Will Naylor Smith River Walk Plaza open one hour prior to the start of the performance. The doors to the performance space will open approximately 30 minutes prior to the curtain for the H-E-B Performance Hall and Carlos Alvarez Studio Theater.
DROPPING OFF PATRONS
The Tobin Center for the Performing Arts provides a drop off area for patrons on Auditorium Circle located to the left of the front steps. To access the drop off location, drive north on Jefferson Street and turn left on Auditorium Circle.
Because we request mobile devices be silenced during performance, the Patron Services department is happy to deliver urgent messages to our patrons. For any emergency in which you need to reach a patron, please call 210-507-5649. The patron’s name, seating section, row, and seat number are required.
Basic first aid supplies can be obtained from Patron Services located in the McCombs Grand Lobby. Any volunteer or Tobin staff member may also access these supplies. Please note, the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts cannot provide medication.
FOOD AND BEVERAGE
The Tobin Center for the Performing Arts has food and beverage available for purchase at each performance. For this reason, outside food and beverage is not permitted. All concessions purchased at the facility will be permitted inside the venues, unless requested by the performer(s) that concessions not be permitted. The Denman Founders Lounge is on the Grand Tier level (2nd floor) and overlooks the McCombs Grand Lobby. This exclusive space offers an elegant atmosphere with premium food and beverage service and is accessible to Founding Donors and Tobin Center Circle Members. Permission for late seating is determined by each performance at The Tobin Center. In most cases, it is permitted, however you may need to be held in the lobby until an appropriate time or asked to take the first available seat until intermission.
LOST AND FOUND?
Lost and found items are turned in to the House and Volunteer Services Manager at the end of every performance. During the performances, items are held at Patron Services located to the East of the front entrance. To inquire about a lost item, please contact the House Manager at 210-507-5649.
The Tobin Center offers valet parking and self-parking, including the Tobin Center Parking Garage (Located at 227 4th Street, 78205) - all within two blocks of the venue. For more information regarding parking availability please click here.
Valet parking is presented by BMW of San Antonio and available for every performance in the H-E-B Performance Hall. The entrance to valet can be found at the corner of 4th Street and Auditorium Circle. You may purchase valet in advance through the TOBi ticketing system or pay $25 (cash only) when you arrive. Valet will close 30 minutes after the performance and any post-show events end.
For most performances, you are permitted to leave and return to The Tobin Center. Before exiting you must have your ticket scanned out so you may return. Please speak with one of the ticket takers at the front doors to exit. If you do not have your ticket scanned out, you may not be permitted to return.
The Tobin Center for the Performing Arts does not allow smoking of any kind inside the facility including the use of e-cigarettes or vaporizers. Please exit the front doors to smoke. Re-entry will be permitted following the re-entry policies stated above.
TICKETS FOR CHILDREN
All persons regardless of age must have a ticket to enter the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts.
TOURS OF THE TOBIN CENTER
We are happy to plan a group tour (10 people or more) of The Tobin Center free of charge. These tours will be scheduled based upon availability. Please call 210-212-0913 to schedule a tour of the venue.
The safety and security of our guests and staff is of utmost importance. The Tobin Center for the Performing Arts does not permit any person carrying a firearm in any manner or other weapons (knives, tasers, mace, etc.).
Luxury boxes are located on the orchestra, grand tier and mezzanine levels and offer a first class experience at the Tobin Center. These seats are not secured in place and can be angled for best viewing and comfort. Box seating is enhanced with wait-service and premium food and beverage options provided through Tobin Catering and available for pre-order. A luxury box premium fee is charged and applicable through all sales avenues including in-person purchases.
