Experience the power and excitement of live orchestra at the historic Tobin Center for the Performing Arts. In this interactive student concert, the South Texas Symphonic Orchestra introduces young audiences to the four families of orchestral instruments: strings, woodwinds, brass, and percussion, demonstrating the voice of each instrument and how musicians work together to create the thrilling sound of a full symphony. Students will also explore musical concepts such as major and minor scales.
Students won’t just listen… They’ll clap, sing, stomp, and move along as the orchestra comes alive in a high-energy musical adventure!
