The Harvey E. Najim Arts Integration Program is the backbone of our practice in education which is why we partner with schools and teachers to provide professional development in teaching with the arts.

Arts Integration increases student engagement, creates a dynamic classroom environment, and levels the playing field for student academic success.

Through a partnership with the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts Partners in Education Program, The Tobin Center provides training for classroom teachers in art integration.  Through these techniques, the arts become a regular part of the classroom experience and leverage learning in science, language arts, mathematics and social studies.  Our partnership with Wolf Trap has allowed us to expand to include teachers of our youngest students, pre-k and kindergarten.

In October 2023, philanthropist Harvey E. Najim made a $300,000 commitment to Generation NEXT to ensure teachers throughout Bexar County can receive training in Arts Integration strategies. To recognize Mr. Najim’s extraordinary generosity, we have named the program the Harvey E. Najim Arts Integration Program.
