Pacho Flores Trumpet
Leonardo Pineda Music Director
Jazz is America’s original musical invention. Rooted in spontaneity, syncopation, and improvisation, jazz quickly spread beyond New Orleans to urban centers, becoming the heartbeat of American culture. The night forms a journey through America’s musical evolution — from its African and European roots, through the immigrant experiences of the 20th century, to the vibrant, living traditions of jazz and Latin jazz. Each piece reminds us that the essence of American music is its ability to bring cultures together and inspire us to move forward together.
World-renowned trumpetist Pacho Flores returns to San Antonio! Join us one hour before each concert in the Feik Family Rotunda for a lively pre-concert discussion with guest artists. Gain unique insights into the music, the creative process, and what to listen for as the evening unfolds.
