With an annual contribution of $10,000 or more, members of this exclusive society provide vital support to the Generation Next Education Initiative and the Tobin Center’s year-round community engagement programs, building creative classrooms and opening doors for new audiences to experience the performing arts. Named in honor of Robert Lynn Batts Tobin, the Society pays tribute to a man whose lifelong dedication to the performing arts continues to shape San Antonio’s cultural landscape. The Tobin Center itself stands as a living tribute to his legacy. Built upon the historic foundation of the city’s former Municipal Auditorium; originally dedicated by his great uncle, Mayor John W. Tobin; the Center embodies a century of family commitment to culture and community. When the Bexar County Performing Arts Center Foundation reimagined the site in 2008, generous support from The Tobin Endowment ensured that Robert’s name would forever grace a place dedicated to the pursuit of artistic excellence.

The fair market value of the Robert Tobin Society is $2,000. Donors can decline the cash value benefits (complimentary tickets, beverages, TASTE Fine Dining, and waived rental fees) for membership in the Society to be fully tax deductible.
