Upon request, school groups may book a free guided tour of the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts. We invite you to explore our world-class venue, state-of-the-art systems, and stunning combination of historical facade and artistic architecture that makes The Tobin Center an important piece of San Antonio history. Tours are given by trained Tobin Volunteers and last about one hour. With advanced notice, Tobin Center tours may be focused to meet a curriculum connection for your group.
Current topics include:
• Performing Arts Center (the standard tour)
• City History / Architecture
• Audience Experience
• Technical Theatre Experience (This half-day experience must be scheduled in advance.)
Please note: due to the scheduling of The Tobin Center, tours are not available on School Time Performance or Sensory Friendly performance days.
